Cucumber is not too bad, but it's more of a filler than anything, since it doesn't have too much nutrition.
Once and a while in a balanced diet is fine :)

It has minimal nutrition, but yes, you can occasionally give a slice of cucumber. None of my turtles has ever wanted to eat it when I've offered it, though. I don't think mine like the smell.

well i never thought of feeding my turtle cucumber or anything. i read a post saying "can i feed my turtle sugar?". i never thought of sugar but when i red the polls sit said its bad. since turtles eat varieties of food then maybe try sugar but i just never thought of feeding it anything else than turtle sticks and the brow pellets. seriously i had no clues about what to fed it and how much

Blackforce - It's good that you found this site. But remember, a turtle isn't a person. We strive for feeding them a healthy, natural diet rather than the garbage we put in our own mouths. Dairy and sugar shouldn't be fed, your turtle doesn't need cookies or anything. The only sugar they should get is natural sugar, from grapes, blueberries, strawberries, apples, squash, or sweet potatoes. They shouldn't get these foods exclusively, but should rely more on leafy lettuces. Pellets are an excellent supplement to a good veggie diet because they include vitamins and minerals.
