Feeding and Nutrition :: Freeze dried or live??

Turtle diets and eating habits discussed here.

I recently bought freeze dried crickets for my turtles but I was wondering if live gutloaded crickets would be better for them. They seem to like freeze dried but they are huge adult size crickets. I only feed it to them once every month

Do you know if the freeze dried have been gutloaded prior to the drying process? I would think that the live gutloaded ones would be more nutritious, but it doesn't really matter much when they're only an occasional treat. Freeze dried or canned crickets are so much more convenient than live when you're only offering them every once in a while.

I bought the flukers freeze dried. They say they have been gutloaded on the bottle.

I'd just go with them unless you have another animal that you're buying crickets for anyway.
