Turtle diets and eating habits discussed here.

OK. First of all, I searched and read what little was said about them. My question is, is it bad for them or can you give them too much? The reason I ask, is that my turtle ate that egg(boiled, white only) like he had never ate before. He is REALLY picky and I actually found something he LOVES. The last time he acted like that was when he ate the algae eater! I'm sorry. Bad joke. I know its not nutritious, but will it hurt to feed it once a week or so? Thanks all!!!

That's really a lot of protein to be feeding weekly. I'd cut it back to only once, maybe twice a month.
If your turtle is eager to eat egg, that's a great sign, hopefully you can find other things he's equally enamored with.

To me it depends on how much you're intending to give. I don't think a small amount (I'm talking a very small, thin---the length of just his head---slice or two) once a week or two would hurt. When you give it, no other "protein-based" foods---pellets, etc.) Just veggies/plant matter.

I do give tiny bits of hard-boiled egg white to my turtles occasionally (when I myself am having one), usually dipped in powdered calcium.
