I was wondering how often to give cuttlebone? I noticed in the STICKY FEEDING LIST tthat people gave it to them like one day a week. The pet store told me to just put it in the tank and let it float around. Is that ok or to much?

Take the hard backing off. You can crush the bone into bite size pieces and offer it weekly, or you can just let the bone float in the water and replace it when it's gone.

I keep a jar of head-sized pieces to give my turtles and replace them as they're eaten up (3 - 4 are usually kept floating in the tank).

My turtle HATES cuttlebone, but she has been fully-grown for a long time already.

I think a piece of cuttlebone should be kept in the tank for the turtle to snack on when he/she feels like it. I clip a piece in a veggie clip so it won't float away when Spot bites it. Spot usually doesn't eat all of it and I replace it when it starts to get slimy.
