hola, my 2inch turtle nameless seems to enjoy eating quite a bit. i want to feed him all the time, but i know that i have to be more of a republican about his food. so i wanted to know if i can just feed him aquarium plants and produce from ralphs like all the time and execlusively, and abandon the pellets. or keep the pellets? i got these little protien treats that i can feed if i switch to a more plant dominated diet. i see that most people seem to mix it up, but nameless is too fat now, so im trying to adjust my situation based on all the info out there, i just like a specific answer that's all. sorry. anyways, thanks for all the help anybody can give me. later....

Pellets are always a good idea. A diet of only plants and protein treats can't give him all the nutrition he requires. Pellets, vitamin supplements and cuttlebone should be a stable part ofthe diet.

When my res started getting too chunky, I cut the pellets down to 3x a week.

Don't forgo the pellets totally. They provide balance and vitamins that your turtle needs. Giving one type of food, no matter what kind, isn't good.
