Feeding and Nutrition :: Strange veggies

Turtle diets and eating habits discussed here.

In our fridge we usually have a whole variety of unknown veggies. I know the mandarin name for some of them, but not the english name.

Is it safe to offer Serra any of these veggies. I can identify Spinach, and spinach is definitely not in there.

So could I offer any of those?

PS> Since I live in an apartment now, Serra doesn't get to eat live food.

Day 1: 3 reptomin sticks, sometimes a bit of fish food

Day 2: Veggies.

Post pictures of the veggies in question. Maybe some of us can identify them for you and tell you if they are good for Serra or not.

If you're concerned, why don't you buy some of the veggies you know Serra can eat?

Some of the foods you'd feed live can be bought frozen, freeze-dried or in cans to give as rare treats (but canned food can be wasteful, since the food should really be used up rather quickly unless you froze some of it). You can buy earthworms and keep them in a container and occasionally give them to Serra as well.

Oh..yea ok, next time my mom goes out to the supermarket I'll ask her to buy some green lettuce.

So you're saying I shouldn't feed Serra those veggies? A little can't hurt, can it?

Tell her to get you some kale or endives, a little bit of that in addition to lettuce is good and a ton more healthy.

I dont think serra would drop dead and die right after eating some unknown vegetables. But feeding her those unknown vegetables is up to you.

My mom said those vegetables are healthy, and 1 is also a type of aquatic plant, I believe.

LOL My mom doesn't speak English. I'll show her pictures of some kale and maybe she'll get some next time. :D
