You should calculate each turtle..
ex..
largest turtle: 7 in.
other turtles: 4 & 6 in.

so a tank size you want would be (7+4+6=17x10= 170) 170 gallons is what you need.

Some say the 10 gallon rule is valid only for the biggest turtle. Some say to add to that other 5 gal per inch for each of the smaller ones. Some instead go by ekimsotnas's rule.
It's not clear. Personally I'd only count the bigger one, otherwise even most ponds (if fairly populated) would be too small, which doesn't make any sense. As long as there are no aggression or violence issues, the same volume of water should be (almost) the same for 2 turtles instead of 1.

you say you have an outdoor habitat, why not just make a pond more than big enough for them? it would look nice and you dont have to worry about them not having enough room, and you could possibly add some pond fish.

It's outdoors however it's on my balcony in my apartment that's why I've got limited space.

How limited is it? I would go with the biggest stock tank you can fit in there..

I can fit at the max probably 2 more stock tanks 6 times the size of my current one which would sum up to be two 250 gallon stock tanks on my balcony. I can probably fit 4 but I don't want my balcony might collapse :s

Huge stock tanks could be expensive. I have a limited budget so I really want the best fitting tank.

I'd just make sure the balcony can support that much water, weight wise, as well.

u can get 300 gallon stock tanks, but i think thats the largest

Other companies (not Rubbermaid) make stock tanks that are around 650 gallons.

I think a 300 gal stock tank would be enough even if the 3 res turn out to be all females..
