I'm just wondering if housing a turtle inside of a green house for the winter would even be a good idea.
I'm not going to do this at the time but wanted to know if it might be a good idea for the future.

Hello,

I currently have my turtle living in a greenhouse all year round. I live in California (SF Bay Area) and currently it's pretty cold, but I have three water heaters in the stock tank to keep the water temp regulated.

During the summer I had an algae bloom since the stock tank was in direct sunlight. What I did was cover the roof of the green house with sun shade fabric and it solved the problem.

It's a good investment if you can afford it. Also you're able to keep/grow your plants in there if you have left over space.

Thank you.
Hopefully someday I will be able to make a green house for the turtles and I know they'll love it,

I am considering putting my turtles in the green house this summer. We need to figure out a way to keep the temps warmer in winter. It can get cold on occasion here.
