Ponds and other outdoor enclosures.

I'm building a small pond for my turtles outside, and I can't seem to find a good pond heater for a good price. I've seen de-icers for about $30, but water doesn't usually freeze durinf winter here in california. So I was wondering if the de-icers heat the pond like a normal heater would?

Sorry for all these pond questions
:DI love my turts!!:D

i dont really know much about keeping turtles outside or ponds but i think they just melt a small area of ice around the heater
Horsepower is how fast you hit a wall. Torque is how far you move a wall

They are not intended for the same purpose and neither is a substitute for each other.
