Your turtle would feel safer with some water around, so having her in some sort of container with water and an area for basking would really be better for her. A kiddy pool is rather shallow, though, so if your turtle is larger, getting something like a stock tank for him would be good.

LOL, if its a few months old, knock yerself out. There are some topics that get repeated constantly be new members - several times a week... that notice is really for them ;)
