Today a local ponder/turtle keeper came to my house and brought my a TON of plants. My pond and stillpond are both FULL of plants now. I am totally overwhelmed by her generosity.
Before she came, I had: water hyacinth, Brazilian elodea, pickerell plant, umbrella palm, and hornwort. She brought me several yards of anacharis, some water lettuce, some giant WH, dwarf papyrus, parrot feather, water celery, taro, and a BUNCH of mosquito fish! I am so thrilled.
I hope the mosquito fish survive and thrive... we have a real mosquito problem here and I don't want them in the pond.
I am going to organize the plants a bit more tomorrow and take some pictures then.
