Hey, i was just wondering if anyone else has a problem with spotting their turtle basking?
My turtle has been outside now for a month and I've just realized, I don't see my turtle basking. As i step into the backyard, i sometimes i think i hear her jump into the water, but I'm not sure. I have a hunch she's just hanging by the edge of the rock like i see her do sometimes. I did take her out of the pond to see if she was healthy and there was no problem at all. She use to have some minor retained scutes but since i put her outside those have gone away and she made a complete recovery. Everything about her looks healthy, she has a nice smooth hard shell and eats whenever i feed her.

I guess my question is, should i be worried that i don't see her bask?

Sounds pretty normal. Some are just more skittish than others.
