Habitat - Outdoor :: My turtles new pond !

Ponds and other outdoor enclosures.

Post Posted: Sun Sep 21, 2008 12:50 am   My turtles new pond !

I thought to myself.. i really want to spoil my turtles this summer (I LIVE IN NEW ZEALAND)

So i received a kiddie pool and turned the crappy vege garden into a turtle pond and basking area.

As you can see its abit messy but when spring starts and it starts to warm up i should have some grass growing in there..
Heres some pics for now..i will upload more in some more weeks.

it has a lot of potential! Good luck with everything. Space and conditions permitting, I think an outdoor habitat is ideal.

I am thinking of doing something similar until we can get the temps right in our greenhouse. Since my turtles are still small, the kiddie pool is a good idea. I had planned to use a dog pen to keep them safe. I like your idea.
