Habitat - Outdoor :: Floating Pond Filter

Ponds and other outdoor enclosures.

I think my turtles and I are at war. Chance keeps moving the filter he wants to hide under it so he moves it around till it's out of the water. Then it begins floating. I don't know why he doesn't hide under the dock or under the plants? I can't remember the name of the filter but it's like a big heavy black box well until it's moved and floats *lol*

I've tried moving it, and putting drift wood on top of it but he knocks it off. Any ideas of what to do?

In the past, somehow, when I had fish the filters we used would start floating on their own. (Stupid charcoal filters, god I hate those). We weighed it down with a big rock. The other option is suction cupping it to the pond wall or floor, if the surface can allow that to happen. Turtles can move many things, but suction cups are pretty tough.
