I've spent about 2 hours doing research and still don't know what to do. I have two RES, and a wide basking area (the above tank mesh/metal one from Pet smart). I need the light to be wider/deeper than it is, because there is a dominance "best basking spot" issue going on. But it's not feasible for me to have 4 lamps.

Are the heat & UVB combined bulbs okay? If not, what are some long/wide/deep lighting options that are reliable (one for heat, one for UVB)?

Can you post a picture of how your setup looks like? You probably want a flood mvb bulb, but you need to carefully set that up as they put out a lot of heat and uvb.
