Hi. My name is Kaytlen. Recently my co-worker gave me a red eared slider because someone just left it on his door. My fiance and I decided we were gonna take him in and try to keep him as our own. I've had him for about a month now, and I have had to change his water once a week for a whole month. I have done the pH, nitrite, nitrate, and ammonia testing, and everything was fine except the ammonia. With that I have started using the ammonia reducing pads, and other items to reduce the ammonia. I haven't seen a difference though. It actually seems to have gotten worse. I have him set up in a 100 gallon stock tank, I have a 150 gallon filter on it, with another 150 gallon filter on the way. His water is constantly yellow and cloudy, and it smells so bad. I need help now.

What do you keep in the tank? What is he being fed? What filter did you get?
