Habitat - Indoor :: Shrimp tank as a prefilter?

Turtle tank setups and other indoor configurations.

So would it do anything? Was thinking of aside from having some ghost shrimp in the tank with a turtle, what if I had a small tank only for some shrimp? To bread them potentially as food, as also to help clean water before it goes through filtration. Like go tank -> shrimp -> cannister filter -> back to tank

Ideas?

I think it's doable, though not sure if its worth the effort. This tank would be for spotteds? You might have some challenges with filtration depending on how everything is setup.

would it be beneficial? I'd essentially have a small shrimp breeder tank as a stage in the filter, so I can feed with them and clean the water.

It could be if done properly, but the difficult part would be how to set it up so they all thrive.
