Hello I'm brand new to the turtle world but my boys have asked and asked and asked and studdied to get their turtles now we're looking at getting one from someone however it is my understanding that the person whom has the turtle currently had the UVB light go out approximately 2 months ago and the turtle has gone with only UVA since...
Obviously I would remedy this as soon as I get the turtle however I do t want to give my boys an already sick turtle what are the chances the turtle will be fine once I get him back a UVB light? Is there a way I can tell if he has went to long without already?

How old/big is the turtle? I wouldn't be a huge deal for older RES to go without UVB for periods of time, though make sure their pellets have some vitamin d3.
