Don't know, but I think that she doesn't realize that she is captured :D I mean, she had so many chances of escaping in earlier setups, but she didn't try. That makes me think that she's happy and doesn't have a reason to run away :D Maybe its just me, but I know that when she feels captured she tries everything to get out.
Plants are doing great. She leaves them alone as long as they are protected and not within her reach. I know it would look better if there were some plants in the water, but unfortunately this is as far as you can go with trachemys in the tank.

It has been 5 years. fell as if he was there my entire life. Going trough university together. Almost done :D

This tank is absolutely gorgeous ! Nothing like having the turtle be in as much of a natural habitat as you can !

Wow, that is an amazing tank! Really love those branches all in there, and the moss is a great touch. Very naturalistic home.

Yes , look's good. It's Great ! Also believe in natural setups for turtles. It's there home not ours. Wish Piggley's home was as good , one day. She's looks like she's got you on the right course of training... always thought some turtles train us. Ha ha ! She looks / Is happy !
