Habitat - Indoor :: Plecos And Turtles?

Turtle tank setups and other indoor configurations.

I'm not sure if this is the right place, but I have a pleco in with my 1.5" RES.
This morning while I was making sure Nemo ate, I saw my pleco latch onto his stomach. Nemo didn't seem bothered by it, but it freaked me out.
Do I need to re-home my pleco? Would upgrading to the 55 gallon (Four foot long, 2 feet tall, 1.5 feet wide) solve this problem?

Can my pleco really do serious harm to my RES or was he just "cleaning" him?
Sorry if this is posted in the wrong place.

Edit:: For now, I moved my pleco into a separate tank until I find some answers.

I don't think the pleco will harm the turtle, correct me if I'm wrong.

I had my pleco that was about 10" long in the tank while my RES was still hatchlings. They co-exited for almost a year with not problem, until my turles got to about 5" and started slowly attacking the pleco. So I gave the pleco away. Again this is my experience and not professional advice.

Did your pleco ever attach himself to the babies? Even when I did research not many people have had this happen.
So I'm not sure.
But thank you for your input.

How big is your pleco? Does your pleco usually hide?

He's about 2.5-3 inches long. He was so small when we got him just a few days ago.
He never hides he just hangs out below where Nemo usually floats on the water. It's like he's watching Nemo.

The first time I saw him do it Nemo was slowly swimming up and the Pleco was following him. Then he just latched on.
