Habitat - Indoor :: Fluval FX5 or Reina XP4?

Wow has it been two years already? Time flies on this forum.


For future reference for anyone needing to cut the intake tube or any other plastic / vinyl tubing.... the hardware store sells tubing cutters for cheap in the plumbing section. Tubing cutters will leave you with a much straighter cut and a clean end. A hacksaw, sawzall, blowtorch, driving over it with your car are also options... but less predictable results than a simple tubing cutter. I suppose you could also take your intake tube to the hardware store, pick up a tubing cutter... test it *cough* and walk back out of the hardware store with your intake tube cut.

Yeah, I was going to, but then I got busy with the new job, then it got cold outside, then my father-in-law passed away in April, and the time keeps running away from me. Thank god I went with FX5 for my initial build. Otherwise I'm sure Jordtim would be dead by now. Nothing like having a maintenance free tank though...
