General Care Discussion :: Loss of appetite

Taking care of your turtle's overall health.

Hello! I have a 13 year old red slider who has suddenly lost her appetite. This has never happened before. She, as usual, gets excited when I approach with her pellets, but won’t touch them. Usually loves different kinds of lettuce but won’t eat that either. Very possible a change in water temp as we did recently add water, and the outdoor temps have dropped significantly this week as well. What can I do now? Should I add some warm water to her tank to warm it more? Buy a higher voltage basking bulb? She’s just never ever not eaten before and I’m getting concerned. Thank you!

What's the water temperature? Have you tried other treats, including (boiled) white chicken meat (fed in a separate container) or even live prey?
