I was looking into trumpets tank because the water was a bit cloudy and noticed a couple of small, white worms in the water just wiggling around.

they're very small, white, and round. I cant get any pictures.

any clue what they are? I've never seen them in either of my tanks before.

should I treat for parasites? what should I use for it?

It's usually fly larvae. Try to get a poop sample... if there are parasites, that's where you're likely to find them.

ah. I think they appeared because I let food waste pile up on the bottom of the tank (oops)

my question about dewormer still stands, though

I don't know about a specific dewormer, but meds to treat parasites are usually formulated on several factors like the kind of infection, severity of it, size/weight of the turtle, and so forth. I don't recall seeing any sort of generic dewormer though cleaning out the tank often and checking poop samples is recommended.
