Good morning I am a future turtle owner and i have a ton of questions and need help. im planning on getting a red eared slider and a painted turtle for my fiance for christmas, but i have no idea what i am doing. I have a friend who is selling a 20x20 cube style tank with lights, tank logs substrate and new canister filter. i planned on grabbing that assuming it is big enough. the next problem i have is i have no idea where to buy baby turtles or if i need to buy anything else. please any help or advice is greatly appreciated

Unless you have the space for two different setups, then only get one. It's way too common for them to fight. I'd also nix a cube. Male RES and painteds should stay small, you can probably get away with a 40 gallon breeder or 55 gallon. I do recommend getting larger because you have more choices for decorations and the two things most turtle keepers enjoy watching is their turtles swim and stretched out basking.
