My Turtles poop is stringy

I recently purchased a turtle he's just a hatchling she eats well and bask and sleeps a lot his poop is long and stringy and hold shape like its in a slimy casing is this normal? I don't know how to post pics or I would please help I just want to know if this is normal the breeder I got him from said he was 1/2 surving hatchlings :mrgreen:

Are the strings segmented? It's possible its a parasite. what do you mean "1/2 surving hatchlings"?

I meant that out of all the other hatchlings him and one other turtle made it :( and it just looks like a messed upsausage link lol that's the only way I know how to explain it

Collect a sample and have a vet check it out. Different types of parasites require different kinds of medication. Is there anything else in his tank?
