I have had a hatchling western painted turtle for exactly one month now. He eats, sleeps, basks, chasing fish and swims all over. His underside just isn't as bright as is was and I'm worried that I am doing something very wrong. Too much protein? Water not conditioned correctly? As of now I'm gonna cut back on the protein and try and introduce some more greens. Let me know what you think turtle lovers and friends

The seams around the scutes is where you see fast growth, I think you see some of it on the plastron and carapace. It's not too bad now if you get the diet under control.
