So one of my little sisters broke our heater, immediately ordered another one, but what can I do at the moment. The new heater arrives in a week, and the weather up here will be too cold for them to resist it maybe. What can I do until the heater arrives?

How cold is it and how big is the tank? Can you put them in a room that is warm, like a bathroom?

Outside low 40, high 30, inside, kitchen where their tank is maybe 50-80, but at night it gets cold. The bathroom is the coldest, why my room warmest. Would they be ok being out of the water for a couple days?

Out of water is OK, a lot of it depends on the temperature you can provide them. What's the indoor air temperature?

Then you should still be able to get around 70F for the water temp, right? That wouldn't be so bad.

The kitchen is the coldest, and its near a window, only heats up during the day, but not un the night.

Were you able to get the heater yet? In cases such as this, I would just bite the bullet and get the heater at a store.

Most UVB bulbs are fluorescent, so you don't need one with a special socket. What kind of filtration do you have?
