Hi guys, i'm pondering on getting a 60 gallon tank. I have a great deal for a 60 with a stand but my concern is that is it too narrow for the turtles to swim. I was planning to fill it up almost completely and getting a floating deck and a turtle topper for them to bask. I currently have a 20 gallon long which is why i'm concerned of the narrowness. Would my two turtles enjoy the 60?

What are your turtle's genders? What's the dimensions of the 60 gallon? How much can you get it for?

Its 4ft by 2ft by 1ft approximately.. I have a female and male.. Im getting the tank and stand for 50bux

How big are the turtles? I wouldn't say the tank is a great deal but if it's in perfect condition you might want to use it temporarily then flip it.

The male is about 4 to 5 in. The female is small like 3in maybe slightly bigger.. Everywhere elae ive looked for tanks that big or bigger with out stands were in the 100s plus.. But it is temporary until i save up to get something bigger for sure

You can get new tanks (up to 55 gallons) for a $1 per gallon. Deals on used tanks vary, but I picked up a 90 gallon tank w/stand for $100 in very good condition. You just need to keep looking and checking classifieds.
