hi guys,

i have built a nice little habitat for our res made out of large rocks, pvc pipe, wood, and parachord. when it's time to clean the tank, I also want to clean the habitat stuff from algae and what not. what can i use to clean to safely clean it with. so far i've been using a scrub brush, bleach, lots of rinse water, and the sun.

but i want to make sure it's all safe for his skin/shell when it all gets put back together. is there a soap i could be using instead?

thanks for your thoughts!

Brushing, wiping, and rinsing should be enough to get rid of algae. If it's on something delicate, like silicone, then just wipe. Bleach should not be necessary. If you're having a severe algae problem, you should review the tank setup and even consider something like UV filter.
