General Care Discussion :: 3 Red Ear sliders and something needs to change

Taking care of your turtle's overall health.

I rescued 3 baby (i assume hatchlings at the time) red ear sliders about a month ago ... anyway....
so now that the babies are growing like weeds and are healthy eaters and swimmers they are getting a little fiesty. so, i know i need to make a change ..... i knew the time would come... i just hoped i would get more time with them :-(
so, what would the best direction to take. I am pretty sure there is one female and two males. The smallest male (squirt) seemed like the third wheel from the start, is the most outgoing, no fear, but is also the most aggresive. He nips at the other turtles faces... but then the next min... they are all basking together....
The other male (Sal) also does a bit of nipping but nothing like squirt..... and the female (EB -largest of them too) doest pester either one.
What do i do at this point? Do i rehome one or more of them? if so.. which one? I am getting ready to move them over to the 55 (full water) gallon enclosure.... and not sure who should be moving and what actions to take..... thanks for the time and suggestions in advance

well, my intention was only to have 1... but when i rescued these babies from the person that had them... i couldnt just have just taken one and leave the others in the conidtions they were in..... ugh.... i have a house full of 'recue' babies :-)....
so... i am just not sure what best to do now that i have themm all healthy and thriving... rehome now? or try them all out in the larger tank? or start building a pond for those little buggers? lol

you can try a larger tank but if that doesnt work me personally i would rehome them or separate them. Maybe somebody else has a better suggestion. I know what you mean about rescue babies. I rescued my turtle almost six months ago and i wasnt planning on having any pets

and sooooooo sorry about my spelling... spell check is disabled on this device ... obviously.. hahaha...
anyway, yeah... i am thinking the seperate and rehome as well. They are currently about 2", maybe 2.5" and the female is MAYBE about 3"..... very small.
To start with i think i found a good home for squirt so far..... so not sure how long i will be able to keep the other two together. I dont want babies so will have to decide by the time that female grows to 6".... i think i have a while...... (famous last words)
