would anyone be concerned enough to do something about this growth I have noticed for the past couple of weeks in my hatchlings lower mouth area ? He is eating and acting completely normal.

Well hmmm.... that sort of looks like an eggtooth, but I'm not sure if it's in the right place and that seems like a long time for it to have an eggtooth. Marisa will know for sure :)

No, that's not an eggtooth. The eggtooth would be on the upper jaw in the middle of it. Is that protrusion hard? Is it coming from the lower or upper jaw? Is the rest of the jaw normal?

It looked like some dried mucus, though it would not be as stiff as cartilage. Is it possible to take a peek in the little guy's mouth, to make sure everything is a healthy pink color?

Is there any kind of wound/opening left from taking it out? (He's really a sweetie.)

I can't see inside his mouth, don't want to traumatize him any further. Don't see anything from the outside really, I guess we'll never know !
Thanks
