Thanks for the info.. I just got off from work and I found Octane laying on his dock. I moved my heating lamp closer to the tank before I left around 4 today and I think it did the trick... Thanks again :lol:

Hi Octane. I'm glad that your turtle is starting to bask. However, do you know what temperature the basking area is? The guideline is for the basking area should be around the high 80s to low 90s. You mention that you moved the lamp closer. This would mean that the temperature around the basking area is a lot warmer than before. Make sure you know what the temperature around is though. Don't assume that since your turtle is starting to bask, it is good enough for him/her. If the temperature is too high (past the 95F area), it can harm your turtle.
