Any books you would recommend i read about baby RES?

I've never looked for any. Check your local library. If you find any, just make sure it was published after 1990 or so. The older ones from the 60's and 70's are probably missing a lot of info.

This is specifically regarding caring for them? For hatchlings, try R. Gurley's Baby Turtles. (Deals not only with RES.)

Mostly reliable, but inexpensive:

Turtle and Tortoise Feeding Manual by A. Highfield.

General Care and Maintenance of Red-Eared Sliders by Phillipe de Vosjoli

These are just a few, there are others.

Can't say that I agree with only post-1990 books being worthwhile. If I was going to spend money, I wouldn't put it into the Turtles and Tortoises for Dummies book by Palika (which is newer). On the other hand, for turtle fans, the Encyclopedia of Turtles by Pritchard (from the 70's) is still well worth it, if you can find it.
