I have a baby RES got him yesterday. Gow much can i handle him i like to pick him up. Sometimes he moves his legs but never really hides in his shell. Is it bad or good to handle them alot? Do they like it?

The general opinion around here (and most turtle forums) is that reptiles/turtles do not like to be handled. Some will say it causes them stress. Think of your res as a 'look but don't touch' pet. I only handle mine when necessary for tank changes and weekly health checks.
