General Care Discussion :: Unusual Behavior?

Taking care of your turtle's overall health.

I am a new owner of two turtles. One I believe is a boy, and one a girl. The larger one, (the girl) is relatively calm. Sits up on the rocks and basks, or floats around in the water. The little one (boy) however, is very active. Always swimming around, swimming up against the side of the tank, and it looks like he's trying to swim out of the tank. I wouldn't be so worried except, he doesn't really eat much either. I first gave them both food at the same time, and the larger one ate it all, leaving nothing for the little one. I then took the bigger one out andgave the little one food, and he still didn't eat, and if he did eat some, it was very little. I read that swimming up against the sides is a way of begging for food, but once I give him food, he won't eat. What should I do?

dont give him food, simple as that, they'll eat as much as they can store, past the point of full, only feed them regularly, and read the main site.
