Hopefully. I'm adopting them from a girl a few hours away. Just working out the shipping and stuff. Wish me luck :D

Thanks! Just have to think of some names now.

They're 8 and 10 years old. I know my 50 gal isn't that great for them but it's so much better than what they've had their whole lives. That tank is pretty much for quarantine anyway and I'll just get another 125 or something later. Here is a pic of what they're currently living in. It's the reason I decided I had to have them.

I'm told they're 2 males but the owner isn't sure.

Oh my gosh I see what you are talking about. I can't wait for our turtles to get that big. Hopefully by then we will be in a bigger house and have a turtle room. Well you will have to post pictures of them when you get them!!

I just want to say thank you for caring so much about these creatures and offer them a much better life. I really hate when people get pets because they look "cute" in the pet store and not knowing what it takes to raise them. Good luck with them.

Wow, that's not a whole lot of water for those poor guys. Michelangelo has tons more water compared to those two and he's only in a 10 gallon tank. I think some people get these crazy ideas from t.v. shows, like teenage mutant ninja turtles showed the turtles as babies in a fish bowl.....

Then another show in Japan that if you go to youtube.com you can see episodes of it called Pretty Guardion Sailor Moon (PGSM) it showed a turlte in a tank about like that that was fully grown in not even enough water to cover its and yet two people in the show were turtle fanatics and apparently knew everything about turtles......

So I think that is where some people get these ideas is from t.v. shows. and people just don't know any better.
She is mine and I shall call her Michelangelo!

What the heck is that mountain in the middle? Looks like something from Disneyland. :)

No idea. I hope for their sake they're able to climb on it.

I was just wondering if they'd be able to even get up on it since the water level is so low.. those poor babies. Well at least one good thing, they don't have gravel on the bottom of the tank :)

That's so great Jen. Keep us informed after you get them about how they are doing. They will probably think your 50 gallon is heaven after what they've been in. :)

They should be here by Friday!!!! I got 3 quotes for shipping from there to here. Two were around $450 and the other was $1200! For turtles?? So I'm sending my little brother on a road trip with his girlfriend. I have to pay for their gas and a meal tho..lol.

yeah, it'll be maybe a 4 hour trip instead of 8 with shipping. Much cheaper and much better for them!
