General Care Discussion :: 2 Male RES fanning each other ?

I have 2 Male red eared sliders who are about 3 inches long each and they've never been aggressive towards each other at all . But every now and then I catch them fanning each others claws in their faces . I've never seen my Mississippi Map do it to them and never saw them bother him at all . It's just the 2 res fanning each other . Like I said they don't fight or anything , is it aggression or dominance or do they just like showing off ?

I think you mean "flutter". I think it's the start of aggression or dominance.

I only see them do it every one in a blue moon . They bask together eat together and I've never had aggression out of either of them . I feel like they might be trying to see who's claws are longer xD cause they sit there and do it for a minute and then they stop and just go on about their day xD and I think my "male" Mississippi Map may be a Female cause he's not even a year old and already pushing 3 and a half inches and has rather short front claws and a shorter tail than my res male . And I had a common map male who's tail was really long and he was 2 years old . Idk of his tail just hasn't spurted or if my dude is really a dudet 0.o . But the res never bother either of my map turtles like at all. They just fan each other or flutter in each others faces lol .
