Please help. I was stupid, I forgot to re-attach the filter nozel to the suction tube of the filter pump. I came home, and one of the turtles had his leg stuck in it.

I was able to get it out, but I'm terrified. His leg is swollen, the skin looks a bit translucent. Is it broken?? Please help, this is my fault, and I'm terrified. He's 15 y/o. If he loses the leg, will he still be okay?? What do I do??

Edit: he's using it a bit more now while swimming, but it still looks swollen. He's just using it a bit more, and not holding it in tightly. Is that a good sign?

Probably not broken, I would just give it some time. And don't beat yourself up over it... accidents happen and I don't think there will be any permanent issues from this.
