My RES must have gotten her nail caught on a ramp to the basking area, because her second toenail (from the left hind leg) is hanging off. I wasn't home when this happened, but there doesnt seem to be any bleeding so far. Prior to this, she has a consistent source of calcium intake from cuttlebones and she basks regularly. She is currently still on the basking area and seems to be acting normally right now, but any recommendations on what to do about the dangling nail would be much appreciated! I've also attached some pictures which should help a bit.

If there is no bleeding, hopefully there is no infection. How long has it been like this? You can leave as is and wait for it to fall off, or I would dry dock for a few days to help it "fall off" and heal. Dry dock for a bit and apply a small amount of diluted betadine, then once that dries some neosporin. The nail bed looks to be intact, so the nail should grow back.
