first of all I'm a newbie to keeping a turtle and I did my basic research on it, but since 3-4 days I have noticed that there's slight discolouration in its shell near the tail part with a small split,. I'm basically panicking and I need suggestions to what can be done regarding that! Do I have to visit the vet immediately? Or is there any modifications that I've to do for it to be better!? Reply ASAP. Turtle(Mr. Wigglesworth) is 2 inches in length and is eating well! It's very active and runs around freely. (I'm giving Taiyo turtle food for the baby turtle)

There is no crack, but the white spot could be a little bit of fungus. A vet visit is not required, how ever the best treatment for it (silver sulfadiazine cream) requires a prescription.
