Hello dear red ear slider froum.
My Red ear slider is 2 years old. I seems to be male.
Some days ago I decided that his eyes are swollen and he doesn't opens them. I took him to a vet. He said that's because of lack of vitamin D. He got an injection of vitamin D. And I give him drops of calcium and vitamin D. His ayes are better now.

But the thing that happened lately is he makes some noises and one of his hands is swollen.
I wish I could get some instructions here.
Thanks a lot!

Pictures and video not available. Can you answer some of these questions?

How big is your turtle?
How long have you had it?

What is the water temperature?
Did you use a thermometer?
Are you using a water heater?
How much water is in there?
Are you using a water conditioner?
Are you using any filtration?

What is the basking temperature?
Is there a basking light?
Is there a basking platform that is easy to climb on?
What kind is it or what is it made out of?
Is there a UVB light?

What have you been trying to feed it?
When was the last time your turtle ate?

How big is the tank/pond/enclosure?
Is the tank near a window?
Is the tank in a room with a lot of activity?

Have you read the Basic Care section?
Have you searched the forums for similar situations?

Is there any other unusual activity/symptoms?

Sorry if there was problem with the photos and video. I uploaded using different site.

Photos showing it:

The video showing it making sounds:
https://vimeo.com/358015418

It's 7 CM.
I have had it for nearly 2 years.

It's like the room temperature. (I think it's near ~23)
I never used a thermometer or water heater.
He has 2 tanks. First one contains 3 litre. Second one contains 0.5 litre.
I'm not using water conditioner.
For the first tank I use filtration.

As I don't use a heater or light for basking area it's same as room temperature.
He climbs the basking area easily.
For the first tank the basking area made of gravel, for the second one it's a peace of coral.
I'm using fluorescent lamp as Uvb light.
I feed it with turtle food and fish, Shrimp, and meat.
The last time he ate was yesterday.

The firs tank Dimensions are = 36cm length, 22cm width, and 22cm Height. And the second is 22 lcm length, 21cm width, and 10cm height.
The tanks are not near window.
It's in my own room and there is not much activity.

Yes I read it but I didn't found my answers!

Also the eyes are swollen a little. I'll give it vitamin D as drops. It's seems to get better.
And it's activity Decreased.

Some turtles make noises more than others. The way the nasal passages are made causes some sounds. Pulling they heads in when scared causes a hissing sound. Not all sounds are good and cute. Some can be caused by water getting down into the airways or blockages or internal infections swelling organs.
With your turtle also having the swelling I would see a Herp Vet in person. Blood test can be done to check for any blood infections and x rays to see if lungs are clear. A turtle being a part of the family I would want peace of mind and know for sure so any treatment can be started soon. Ask about payment plans if money may be a problem , most all vets will work with you .
More time and attention needed on habitat that meets a turtles requirements. Yes it may get by for some time but now you are seeing health problems , please correct for this living animal under your care.

I agree, more time and attention needed on habitat. A croaking sound alone is not worrisome, but other symptoms are troubling. Turtles are cold-blooded, they are dependent on their environment to provide warmth for them to regulate body temperatures. So a basking lamp, water heater are usually essential. Is the fluorescent a real UVB lamp or is it just a fluorescent lamp?

I would first get water temps up to around 80F, so you need a heater and a thermometer.
