I recently got a baby yellow belly turtle. The shell is about 1 1/2 inches and has some spots on the shell that I am a little worried being shell rot. I am not sure though, nor am I sure how to take care of my turtle if it is. Any suggestions please??

Can you post pictures of the area? White spots are usually fungus.

Hard to see if anything is going on under the peeling areas. When it is dry, can you take a closer look and describe it for us? Does the turtle bask, and have a UVB light? A basking light? A basking platform and what is it made of?

It almost looks like he is peeling kind of I'm not real sure how else to describe it. And the white spots on the bottom of him looks like its separated from his shell I guess. But I do have a basking light and a UVB light for him. The basking platform I have for him feels like styrofoam, and he does get up on the platform and stretch his arms and legs out sometimes.

If it's dark or green and firm, it should be OK.
