i just walked into the room and my turtle was basking. he jumped off the dock to follow me in the water and immediately a red mucus started coming from his mouth- it's not loose blood, but kind of a gel like substance. he's done this once before but that was after hed fallen out of his tank and i put him back in and he hasnt done it since until just now. i took what i could out of the tank with a net

he's also acting like he's afraid of me. he usually comes up to the front of the tank and scratches like he wants to come out and see me but he seemed to panic and rammed himself into the back corner if the tank frantically. ive never seen him act like that before.

he doesnt have any small pebbles in his tank, only a hide log, 2 fake plants, a piece of small dirftwood, and some larger rocks. it's bare bottom.

he seems to be back to normal now. this all happened in the span of maybe 5 minutes

I think it's probably related to the previous fall since it was very recent. Was the blood bright colored or dark?

If it’s darker, then it’s possibly from the older injury.

but i still dont know what the injury is, or why he was acting so strangely, but he does have a vet appt next week so i can have it checked out then as long as it doesnt seem to require immediate attention

Possibly a cut inside the mouth. A vet visit would be a good idea, not sure what they can find from a visual checkup though.
