I am relatively new to caring for turtles and i have not been able to find anything out about the condition my turtles shell seems to be in. Could anyone please give me insight. I am posting this as a precaution but if i need to seek veterinary help please inform me. I thought his tank had all the proper necessities but i will use any advice i can get.

Turtle shell looks like it's grown a little too fast but pretty good overall. Just cut back on pellets/treats and make sure you are using a UVB lamp and you're good.

Thank you for the reply. I had found out that i was feeding him too often and have cut back appropriately here recently. I also have a UVB bulb but will be replacing it shortly in case it is old. I was just nervous that the little dots on his shell were potential shell rot but i hasn’t seen others turtles have the same conditions.

I didn't notice the pitting, but keep an eye on it. There have been a few turtles who get a bad case of it but it usually sheds off.
