This stuff is so gross what is it!? Its a filmy white spider web like nastyness. Under the surface the water looks fine. Whe the turtle got out of the water it got on him. Im afraid it will spread to his body!

Is this the first time it's happened? How is the water quality like?

If this is recently cleaned and not mold, then it's likely his semen. Has he been fanning recently?

Fanning is when the male turtle takes out his penis. you see it mostly as the are starting to show their male characteristics. I'm sure he would like a mate, but it's more likely he's figuring out what that thing is.

I googked it so see what that looks like. I have never seen that ever. Durring the day the stuff would get better then at night it got bad again. I think the uv light is "killing" it? Unless it is semen..maybe he only does it at night? My bf did another water change and we upped the surface tension. I dono it hasnt come back sense. But the water has an oily look on the surface.

The water looks pretty dark, you might have other issues going on. Can we see more pics? Even if it is semen, the majority of the water should be clear and clean.

The water in your tank should be clear not murky. The oil slick on top happens when there is not enough surface water agitation.
