I have a 1 year old turtle and it has an ear abcess on both sides of its face. Its been there for about 2 days. I can't afford to go to a vet. Will giving the turtle Vitamin A make the abcess go away? Will an ear abcess kill my turtle? What should i do to make the ear abcess go away like i said i cant afford to go to a vet.

I can't advise you on what to do.. But I imagine for those more experienced it would be easier if they had a picture to go off?? Can you get a picture of it?

There is no home treatment. Ask a vet for an installment plan or look to a reptile rescue for help. Some of the very experienced keepers can help you out.

I would be worried about infection near the brain. Your turtle probably needs to be on some sort of antibiotics at the least.. Depending on what is really going on. If you can, I would err on the side of caution and somehow get Professional help, to figure out what is causing the Abscesses..
