I recently found a Red-slider turtle during our school P.E. class! It was near the woods, my class was hiking at the time and I notice one. It's not the first time I found turtle in such environment! I didn't take it because my P.E. teacher told me to put it away.
But anyway, can Red-slider live in that environment :!: :?:

Is there a water source near by? A pond, or stream? Chances are, it was a hatching and it was in transition between nest and the nearest water source. It's best to leave a wild turtle in it's natural environment. If you are interested in owning one as a pet, do you research first. Look at the amount of care it will take and do some basic figuring of costs. Then if you decide to go through with purchasing one, do it from a reputable dealer.
