Hi I'm a thirteen year old boy and right now I have a baby red ear slider and I'm scared, very scared the day we got him/her don't know yet was about 2 weeks ago
and he was a little scared but after a few days he was swimming around joyfully but about 2 days ago he stopped everything know he barley swims and just hangs on to his basking area while hes half submerged in the water and he barley even basks and I have a heat lamp and a uv lamp and great pellets and everything and I wish I could go to the vet but it costs about 100 to 200 dollars and my dad says he just cant afford it I'm begging him cause I really love my slider :( and it keeps me up at night cause I'm scared for the little guy so could you guys help me out on this and just tell me what to do for him because I love him (my turtle) please :(

I doubt shedding has anything to do with what's going on. What are you feeding him and how much? Can you post any pictures of him or the setup?

How is he doing now? The hard thing about setting up a home for turtles is that you should have everything place first or at the same time.

What are his water temperatures?
