Hi all, I need help on one of my RES.His name is Lucky. He seem to be in a bad condition, I have brought him to the vet last week due to a swollen eye and dirt around his neck area. His right Eye was Swollen and the vet inject him with Vitamins to aid in his swollen eye. He is still eating at the point of time with just one eye. The vet also cleaned the dirt on his neck and he state that it is just some dead skin with dirt. The reason behind the dead skin was because lucky once had a huge pimple and he recovered afterwards. However there are still remains on the neck, At least the pimple is gone. I told the vet it may be a ear abscess but he recovered, but he says it is just something like a pimple or dirt. Right now, After the injection. Lucky just sleeps all day and not eating. He only move if i moved him, Gradually he stop eating after both of his eyes became swollen. I really need help right here. He may die anytime. I am worried of losing him. I had never had such a situation before.

I'd concentrate on getting him to eat first. Get some unflavored Pedialyte (or it's equivalent), mix it with water add some crumbled up pellets in there and let him soak and drink in. Make sure it's the same temperature as his tank water and it's deep enough that it covers up to the top of his shell. I would also not keep a small tank near the window.

Thanks a lot Steve ! Is it alright to put curtains to cover the window? What is the actual purpose of not keeping near a window? :0

Yes, curtains are OK. Having it near window will make small tanks too hot, grow algae and filter UVB.
