Hi everyone, I have a 12 year old female RES, about 4 inches long. She loves to eat everything she can fit in her mouth and recently after installing a new filter she ate the top part of the venturi valve (the rubber circular shaped thing that comes off). It is definitely much smaller than her head (1/3 the size of her head). She has eaten pebbles before many years ago when I was more naive and she passed them fine. Can a turtle handle something like this? I have seen advice to give some canned pumpkin as a laxative.

I don't think it would be an issue. Just keep a close eye on the poop and get to it before she can again.
